Originally from Mérida, Yucatán, José Oligario’s first love is painting the facades of houses and buildings. He works at Habla taking care of the grounds and upkeep in the school. He enjoys the trees and plants that surround the school as well as meeting the students who greet him with smiles and a friendly “Good afternoon, Don José!” The students ask him about the names of trees and what he does to help them grow so beautifully, which makes him feel proud of his work.
