CARMEN PÉREZ
English Teacher
I was born and raised in Mérida, Yucatán, in a busy neighborhood where I learned to exploit my imagination with friends and neighbors.
I’ve always had a passion for learning and teaching English, which is why I decided to pursue a degree in English Language at the College of University Studies of Mayab (CEUM). I like to think that, beyond being a job, teaching is an art and an opportunity to share knowledge with others, guiding students toward their own growth and improvement.
Here at Habla, I had the opportunity to explore different teaching methods to find my own style and rhythm. I enjoy incorporating fun activities and creating a comfortable space for my students. I value the time we spend learning and discovering new things together, seeing it as a way to build connections and strengthen our community both inside and outside the classroom.
