Agatha Fukushima

Spanish Professor


Sharing and connecting through human and cultural experiences is Agatha's main driving force. Originally from Mexico City, Agatha currently resides in Mérida, Yucatán. She is a Spanish teacher, dancer, performer, and Dj. Within the classroom, she employs a variety of multimodal methods in order to meet all students' learning needs and to make her classes as engaging as possible. She began her studies in dancing at the School of Artistic Initiation No. 2 of the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA) and received an award in Classical Dance Area (2005-2008). Agatha later entered the Diego Rivera Art Education Center (CEDART) INBA during the 2008-2011 period. Agatha graduated from the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance of the INBA (2011-2016).
