Rodrigo del Río

Spanish Teacher


Rodrigo is passionate about educational processes, the arts, and working in communities. He's fascinated by cooking, music and good stories. He was born in Mexico City and arrived at Merida in 2001, where he studied Latinamerican Literature at UADY. After that, interested in research and culture, he went to SUNY Buffalo to study Latinamerican and Caribbean Cultural Studies. He's been an academic and professor since 2008; from 2020 he's part of an interdisciplinary artistic group called Miranfú: niñxs, talleres y cuentos, where arts, education, philosophy and critical thought can blend all together though play. He now loves teaching at Habla which brings all of his interests and talents together.
